PLT Learner of the year 2014-15
Awards events have been held across the city to celebrate success for Plymouth’s young people.
Taylor-Paige Timmins, a Post 16 learner from Notre Dame, was chosen out of over 700 learners across the 16 secondary schools which make up Plymouth Learning Trust as Learner of the Year. The award recognises not only the progress she has made with her skills and knowledge in achieving her Level 3 qualification in IT but also the personal challenges she has overcome.
Taylor-Paige has studied with Achievement Training over the last 3 years achieving new levels each year and will be progressing to full time Further Education with them next year.
Highly commended awards were also presented to Courtney Nettleship from Lipson Co-operative Academy and Bradley Loveridge from All Saints Academy.
Courtney completed her Level 2 Nails, also at Achievement Training and fully embraced the learning opportunities available to her. She is highly regarded by the company where she undertakes her work placement and has engaged with every opportunity to learn. Courtney is now commencing an apprenticeship in Beauty Therapy.
